what kind of tours can you do with me?
Virtual tours
For those of you who can’t travel, or don’t wish to travel this very day, or any other reason for staying home and yet wishing to experience another place, I offer virtual or remote tours which are … something different.
I guide two kind of tours – a virtual or more correct, remote tour, and the traditional physical tour that most tourists know and do all over the world.
Why are they not virtual, rather remote? Well, first and foremost, they are not virtual because they are very real tours. Real tours that are done in a different way of the known traditional physical tour. They are remote rather than virtual.
What’s a Virtual tour
In a VIRTUAL or REMOTE tour you join a one hour tour with zoom and I walk the route of the tour with my phone mounted on a stabilizer while guiding you and paying attnetion to your questions, comments and wishes. I have done more than 500 such tours in Jerusalem mainly with Amazon Explore.
In such a tour you can see the four quarters of Jerusalem, walk down Mount Olives and the churches located on it or visit Ein Kerem, home town of John the Baptist. and I assure you that it is a worthy experience requiring very little time and a fraction of the cost compared to a physical tour in Israel that may be somewhat far from where you are currently located.
These tours enable families that are geographically far apart to get together via computers or cell phones, and experience a family event with tremendous added value, or you can just join a group tour on your own or with your colleagues from your work place, or purchase such a tour as a gift for your parents. The possibilities are endless.
The cost is virtually microscopic compared to the traditional form of tourism, you have the recording of the tour with you and most important, the guide is great. Stay at home and try it out.
The other type of tours I offer are the well known traditional physical tours where I guide you to and through the many geological, historical and natural sites in Israel, some of them unique on a global level. These include the old city of Jerusalem, or walk the allyes of Ein Kerem, where John the Baptist was born and grew up, or drive an hour from Jerusalem to the Dead Sea and many more. If you plan to come to Israel, let me know and we’ll plan a great tour for you.
In a live outdoor virtual tour I walk the route with my phone and guide you while you are sitting at home with some hot chocolate, in front of your computer or TV screen. The tour is usually one hour long, and although nothing like a physical tour at the site itself, it enables you to enjoy a significant and meaningful experience at a fraction of the time and cost of a physical tour.
The two types of tours – the physical and the virtual – do not compete with each other, they are merely two different experiences. I have carried out more than 500 virtual tours and can say that people trully enjoy the experience. You can get a glimpse into what they have to say at customer reviews .
You can join a group tour for just 18$ or schedule a private tour, or if you wish to learn more about these tours directly with me, send me a message.
This is the traditional type of tour in which you physically have to come to Israel and I lead and guide you on a predetermined or customized tour itinerary.
The tours can be a 5 hour tour in the Old City of Jerusalem or a day tour to the Dead Sea area and it could be a multi day tour in several parts of Israel . These tours require planning accomodation and organizing transportation and therefore we will need to communicate back and forth untill you’re satisfied with what I suggest.
