Hometown of John the Baptist

In a one hour live VIRTUAL tour we will visit the hometown of John the Baptist at Ein Kerem.

We start our tour at the Church of Visitation where Mary visits Elizabeth, an event that gave rise to the Song of Mary, the Magnificat. From there we walk to the John BeHarim Church. On the way we stop at Mary’s Spring, and at some sites associated with exceptional individuals that lived at Ein Kerem so as to be close to John’s birthplace. At the John BeHarim Church where John was born we visit the location at which John’s father, Zecharia, regained his speech and gave rise to the the Song of Zecharia, the Benedictus.
